Predicting the future is difficult and risky. But predicting the future in the Computer industry is even more difficult and risky because of the dramatic changes in technology and the limitless challenges to innovation.
Technology is therefore an area that never stops developing. There is always room for improvement and new opportunities. Especially in the past decade we have been able to experience that tech has increasingly entered our lives to become an important part of our daily lives. The smartphone and the Internet of Things (IoT) is a good example of this.
However, this article briefly focuses on two key technologies that we expect to see even more in 2022. Namely Computer vision and blockchain.
computer vision
Image recognition and Computer vision is a fascinating branch of artificial intelligence (AI) with many practical applications. After all, it helps computers to be able to see images, to process them and to identify them thanks to various algorithms.
Just like a human can do and then deliver an accurate output. Computer vision can be compared to a computer that trains your human instincts and intelligence.
The technique can be used perfectly to improve your safety, for example, or to increase the profitability of manufacturers and save costs in the supply chain.
Computer vision is likewise used in a bank's back office for biometric authentication and authorization. And through machine learning to identify fraud trends, cybersecurity threats. Plus document scanning and processing and real-time transaction analysis for risk management.
Edge computing is also one of the most discussed topics in computer vision. It enables immersive and more up-to-date analysis, insight and calculation.
The retail and consumer experience is also evolving thanks to these Computer vision technologies. After all, no one does better than computer vision when it comes to providing relevant product recommendations. Because the more data you provide and the more AI analyzes it, the better the real-time service a supplier can provide to their customers.
Blockchain
-
Securely connect parties within a specified ecosystem very effectively
And while the above two Computer technologies are already being used today, more will be explored in the coming year to see what they have to offer us. In the (near) future, for example, we will experience how they can pleasantly change our way of life by offering more and more technological assistance and refinement.
